Track Rollers for Semiconductor Equipment: Selection Priorities

Engineering & procurement guidance

Compact motion does not mean simple motion

Semiconductor and electronics equipment can place rolling elements close to sensitive handling or inspection mechanisms. The selection conversation therefore moves beyond size to include smooth motion, contamination control, service access and the lubrication strategy permitted by the equipment environment.

Use the small EP sizes as dimensional starting points

The EP-KR / EP-KRV series begins at 13 mm outside diameter. EP-KR13 / EP-KRV13, EP-KR16 / EP-KRV16, EP-KR19 / EP-KRV19 and EP-KR22 / EP-KRV22 provide a compact group for early comparison when the mechanism envelope is small. Their catalogue speed references span 29,000 to 17,000 rpm, but the real operating limit remains application-dependent.

Information worth sending with the drawing

Describe the motion cycle, expected contamination control, allowed lubricant family, track material and required service interval. If the follower sits near a wafer, optical path or vacuum-sensitive zone, include that context so the configuration can be reviewed rather than treated as a generic automation bearing.
