Three packaging-duty questions to resolve
Repeated acceleration and reversal can create a different service pattern from continuous rotation. Record the machine cycle rate and whether the follower sees dwell, reversal or abrupt changes in contact.
Grease life is one of the main selection priorities in repeated-cycle packaging mechanisms. Note whether the mechanism can be relubricated and whether product residue, washdown or packaging dust reaches the track area.
An impact or shock event may occur at a cam transition, jam or indexing stop. Describe those events instead of selecting only by outside diameter.

Maintenance clues worth checking before replacement
A narrow or shifted contact band can point to track alignment or mounting geometry. Photograph the worn ring and the cam surface before replacing the part.
Record whether grease is being expelled, washed away or contaminated by dust/product residue. This can change the preferred sealing and maintenance discussion.
Confirm D*, C, stud thread and the B/B1/B2/B3 envelope from the machine drawing. Two followers with similar outside diameter may not fit the same mounting geometry.
Tell us how long the line runs between planned stops. A bearing that is hard to inspect or relubricate may need a different maintenance approach even when the size is unchanged.
