Textile machinery often runs for long periods while generating lint and fine dust around feed, traverse, winding and cam-driven mechanisms. the application guidance places EP-KR22 through EP-KR47 in the main application range and highlights high-speed long-life duty plus dust protection. In practice, that makes grease retention, track cleanliness and inspection history important parts of the replacement decision.
Operating conditions that deserve attention
Long running hours can reveal small alignment, lubrication or surface-condition problems over time. Record cycle speed and whether motion is continuous, oscillating or indexing.
Fine textile debris can accumulate around the track and stud area. Describe guarding, cleaning intervals and whether contamination reaches the rolling contact.
If the mechanism has limited relubrication access, note the service interval and any evidence of grease leakage or drying at the removed follower.
Recommended EP-KR / EP-KRV screening range
| EP model | D* (mm) | Stud thread | Speed reference | Textile selection use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EP-KR22 / EP-KRV22 | 22 | M10×1.25 | 17,000 rpm | Compact lower end of the project range for faster mechanisms. |
| EP-KR26 / EP-KRV26 | 26 | M10×1.25 | 17,000 rpm | A larger outer ring with the same listed thread size as EP-KR22. |
| EP-KR30 / EP-KRV30 | 30 | M12×1.5 | 14,000 rpm | Mid-size reference for feed or traverse mechanisms. |
| EP-KR35 / EP-KRV35 | 35 | M16×1.5 | 10,000 rpm | Larger stud interface for more substantial mechanisms. |
| EP-KR40 / EP-KRV40 | 40 | M18×1.5 | 8,500 rpm | Upper-middle size in the recommended textile range. |
| EP-KR47 / EP-KRV47 | 47 | M20×1.5 | 7,000 rpm | Upper end of the range defined in the application requirements. |
Use the wear pattern as maintenance information
A textile-machine follower that becomes noisy or develops a polished band is useful evidence. Compare the outer-ring wear with the mating track, look for packed lint around the contact path and note whether the stud remained secure. The goal is not simply to fit a new bearing; it is to avoid repeating a lubrication, contamination or alignment condition.
Include both the follower and the track. A one-sided band can help identify a geometry or alignment question.
State how often lint is removed and how frequently the follower can be inspected or lubricated.
D*, thread and outer-ring width are the first measurements, followed by stud/shoulder dimensions and available service access.
Feed, traverse, winding and other cam mechanisms can have different motion profiles. Name the mechanism and include cycle information when available.
Use the machine duty and wear pattern to narrow the size
Send the existing marking, quantity, dimensions, machine function, running cycle, lint/dust exposure and maintenance interval. We will screen EP-KR22 through EP-KR47 and check the mounting interface against the EP-KR / EP-KRV dimensional range.
