Lubrication is a system condition
Grease selection and service interval depend on speed, temperature, oscillation or full rotation, contamination, washdown and how much lubricant can be retained in the installed configuration. A single interval copied from another machine is rarely a reliable maintenance rule.
Build the maintenance record around observation
Track changes in noise, temperature, grease leakage, outer-ring surface condition and mating-track wear during planned stops. If the machine allows relubrication, follow the original equipment instructions for grease compatibility and quantity. Overfilling can be as unhelpful as running too dry in some high-speed arrangements.
Special environments need confirmation
Food processing, clean production and chemically exposed machinery can require special lubricants or materials. State those requirements in the RFQ. Do not assume that a general EP-KR or EP-KRV series name automatically includes a cleanroom, food-grade or corrosion-resistant configuration.
