The same purchasing team may receive an inch-dimension drawing, a metric cam-follower code and a worn sample from the machine. The safest replacement path is to keep units and interfaces explicit instead of converting the part number by name alone.

Industrial automation & logistics
Conveying, sorting, pick-and-place and assembly equipment often use compact followers in repeated cycles. EP-KR13 through EP-KR35 is a useful screening range for smaller mechanisms.
Agricultural machinery
Seeders, harvesting mechanisms and other cam-driven equipment can see dirt, shock and irregular duty. Track condition and sealing/lubrication are often as important as nominal size.
Semiconductor equipment
Compact EP-KR13 through EP-KR22 sizes are the first dimensions to review for wafer handling, test and electronics-production mechanisms.
Medical-device manufacturing equipment
If clean processing areas, low-volatility lubricant or washdown compatibility are required, define those conditions in the RFQ rather than assuming a standard grease is acceptable.
Aerospace ground-support equipment
For heavy support and handling mechanisms, the upper end of the series—EP-KR80 through EP-KR90—is the first range worth investigating. Final selection must still be load- and track-based.
Metric and inch information: keep both visible
EP-KR / EP-KRV dimensions are metric. When a US machine drawing is in inches, include the original dimensions as drawn and, if possible, a metric conversion in the RFQ. Do not round the stud thread, outer diameter or shoulder dimension to the nearest inch fraction; a small conversion error can turn into a mounting problem.

US replacement and RFQ checklist
Photograph every marking and note the machine make/model. If the part is an IKO CF, WERB NAKD or another brand, keep that legacy code in the enquiry.
State whether each dimension came from an inch or metric drawing. Include D, width, stud thread, shoulder and available clearance.
If the drawing calls out an ABEC-style accuracy term, cleanroom condition or customer inspection requirement, include it explicitly. Do not infer it from a generic cam-follower series name.
Add destination, desired carrier/forwarder method and any required material or inspection paperwork so the quotation can separate product selection from logistics.
