Track Bearing Supplier Support for South Korea

EP-KR / EP-KRV enquiry guidance for South Korean semiconductor, display, automotive-production and factory-automation equipment.

South Korea’s semiconductor, display and automotive manufacturing base creates two very different track-bearing duties: compact, fast motion inside electronics equipment and tougher repeated motion inside factory automation. The model name alone does not capture that difference, so operating cycle, contamination and mounting access should be part of the first enquiry.

Primary South Korean equipment segments

Semiconductor equipment

Compact wafer and component handling favors small EP-KR / EP-KRV sizes, careful lubrication and repeatable motion. EP-KR13 through EP-KR22 is the first range to review.

Semiconductor guidance →

Display-panel equipment

Glass/substrate transfer mechanisms need smooth tracking and clean lubrication practices; surrounding clearance is often tight.

Automotive production automation

Welding, assembly and paint-line mechanisms can have higher cyclic loads and contamination. Size by the actual cam load, track and maintenance interval rather than by sector name.

Factory automation

For compact pick-and-place and auxiliary motion, EP-KR13 through EP-KR35 is a practical starting range.

Useful starting ranges for Korean projects

Application / buyer task Useful starting range Why this range is worth checking
Semiconductor equipment EP-KR13 to EP-KR22 Compact geometry and high speed are common starting priorities.
Display / electronics handling EP-KR13 to EP-KR35 Extends into mid-small sizes for larger glass/substrate mechanisms.
Factory automation EP-KR13 to EP-KR35 Screen by cycle rate, radial load, track width and mounting access.
Automotive production equipment Application-dependent Use the actual load, shock, contamination and stud support to choose the size; do not preselect by industry alone.

Replacement notes for Korean OEM and MRO work

OEM / legacy reference

If the equipment list uses a local standard, KSB notation or a Japanese/European bearing code, send the complete original reference and drawing.

Compact mounting geometry

Confirm outside diameter, width, stud thread and how much wrench/maintenance access exists around the hex and stud.

Cycle and contamination

Record cycle rate, operating hours, nearby process contamination and any lubricant-loss symptoms. These can change the best sealing/lubrication choice.

Requested technical documents

If the project requires a specific inspection record, material statement or OEM approval format, include it in the RFQ for confirmation.

For semiconductor/display replacement, the series cross-reference provides IKO candidate references for the small EP-KR sizes. Use the cross-reference chart as a search aid, then compare the actual machine dimensions before ordering.
